Distance makes no technical difference
The work happens in our lab in Weyerbusch in the Westerwald region, between Cologne, Bonn and Koblenz. Whether a drive comes from the next town or from Hamburg changes nothing about the procedure: insured shipping is usually overnight, and the analysis starts when the parcel arrives.
What the location does add is a radius in which we also collect media – and whole machines. In North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and the north of Baden-Württemberg that is often possible on the same working day, which matters when a company is at a standstill.
Handover in person is possible by appointment. It is worth it when someone wants to explain the case face to face, or when the medium is too valuable to be entrusted to a courier.
Three ways to reach us
Which one fits depends less on distance than on what is affected.
Shipping
Insured, well padded, in a sturdy outer box. Include a note with your name, phone number and a short description. For single media this is the usual route.
Handover in person
By appointment at our location. Sensible when the case needs explaining or the medium should not travel by courier.
Collection
For servers, RAID systems and interrupted operations, by arrangement – in the region often on the same working day.
