All amounts are total prices including 19 % German VAT. Companies, public bodies and IT service providers receive their quote net plus VAT; settlement is by invoice after completion. Details under business customers.
Shipping to us is at your cost – insured, or we collect by arrangement. The fee for return shipping and packaging is agreed in advance and is the only amount that arises if you decline the quote after the analysis.
What the price depends on
Four factors determine the effort – and therefore where a case sits within the range.
Type of damage
Logical damage is evaluation at the workstation. Mechanical damage means clean-room work, sourcing donor parts and considerably more time.
Number of media
With RAID and NAS every drive is repaired and read individually. The effort grows with the count, not with capacity alone.
Surface condition
A few read errors are routine. Hundreds of thousands of damaged sectors mean days of reading with an adapted strategy.
Urgency
Normal processing runs in the usual queue. Prioritised handling and work outside business hours are charged separately.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no exact price?
Because the effort only becomes clear once the medium has been examined. A drive with a damaged head and an intact surface is a different job from the same model with a scratched platter. That is precisely why the analysis is free.
Is the fixed price really fixed?
Yes. Once quoted, it does not change – not even if the work turns out to take longer than expected.
What if nothing can be recovered?
Then there is no charge for the recovery. Only the agreed amount for returning the medium applies.
Are the prices gross or net?
Figures shown to private customers include VAT. Companies, public bodies and IT service providers receive their quote net plus 19 % VAT.
